January 28th, 2010 Stakeholders Meeting

About 30 NCCC stakeholders heard from Weld County Commissioner Kirkmeyer, about CNG plans in that county, at the January 28, 2010 meeting in Greeley. Also presentations from Colorado Corn and Blue Sun were shared, and lots of other news too. Members like Joe Castro helped support the mission by arriving in style. See feature story below. Not only did he do his part by driving a Prius to the meeting: City of Boulder Fleet Manager, Joe Castro, is also working on petroleum reduction at home, in Boulder. Castro has helped the city meet it's goal of 90% of all vehicles purchased running on alternative fuels. In 2009 they purchased 27 vehicles that are hybrid, E85/Flex-Fuel, or biodiesel capable.
