NCCC is a membership based non-profit organization made up of local business men and women, other interested volunteers, and government entities - all working to make a change for the better.
In 1996 the City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, City of Greeley, Weld County, Rocky Mountain National Park, and several area businesses came together, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and formed the Clean Cities Coalition. The guiding mission has always been to reduce petroleum use in the transportation sector. Now the mission specifically includes idle reduction, blends, hybrid technologies, and fuel economy.
In 2006 NCCC, and its' stakeholders, helped reduce 292,656 gasoline gallon equivalents of fuel in our Weld and Larimer County area.
Every year NCCC organizes two meetings with a speaker and or tour, and two meetings as events, similar to advancing the choice style workshops -- speakers, exhibits, food, and door prizes. Meetings and events are free to attend. NCCC offers exhibit space and sponsorship opportunities to all members. Please inquire with the Coordinator about membership, sponsorship opportunities and hosting an event.
2007 was a banner year for alternative fuels in Colorado. Converging support at state, federal and local levels helped lead to new pumps in our region: five new locations serve E85 (six total now), two public stations also sell biodiesel blends. To find a station near you go to the Alternative Fuels Data Center Alt Fuel Station Locator. Clean Cities can help you make alternative fuels work through education and access to experts and funding where it is available. Attend a meeting and find out more!
The coalition modified its dues structure recently, and now offers individual dues at $50, $100 for non-profits, and $250 for other businesses.
NCCC is actively seeking volunteers and interns for our various projects, please inquire if you are interested in an academic or other non-paid experience with our group.

Promoting alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles, idle-reduction and fuel economy for economic, environmental and energy security, now!
